Terms of business
These terms apply to every website project, content plan and other service we provide, together with your estimate or quote. If something we’ve agreed with you in writing differs from them, what we agreed applies. Last updated 31 October 2026.
Who we are
Webgorgeous is the trading name of Only Intelligence Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 12672649. Registered office: Office 13724, 182–184 High Street North, East Ham, London E6 2JA. Email [email protected] or call +44 7577 998383.
Our agreement
When you send a project brief, we give you an estimate worked out from your answers. Anything shown as “priced with you” is quoted separately before we start it. Our agreement begins when you make your first payment (a deposit, a payment in full, the first month of a content plan or an invoice), or when you accept a quote from us in writing.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling. We aren’t registered for VAT, so no VAT is added.
- A 50% deposit books your project slot. The balance is due when your site goes live.
- Invoices are due within 7 days.
- If a payment is late, we may pause work until it’s made.
Your right to cancel
If you’re booking for yourself rather than for a business, the law gives you 14 days to cancel, starting on the day our agreement begins. You don’t need to give a reason.
- To cancel, tell us clearly within the 14 days: email [email protected], or send the form below. You don’t have to use the form.
- We’ll refund what you’ve paid within 14 days of hearing from you, to the card or account you paid from.
- If you asked us to start within the 14 days (there’s a tick-box for this in the project brief), you’ll pay for the work done until you told us you were cancelling, in proportion to the whole, and we’ll refund the rest.
- If you didn’t ask, we start after the 14 days.
Cancellation form
To: Only Intelligence Ltd (Webgorgeous), Office 13724, 182–184 High Street North, East Ham, London E6 2JA, [email protected]
I give notice that I cancel my contract for the following service: [service]
Ordered on: [date]
Your name: [name]
Your address: [address]
Signature (only if sent on paper): [signature]
Date: [date]
Cancelling later, and refunds
After the 14 days, or if you’re booking for a business: if design work hasn’t started, we refund your deposit in full; once it has, we refund what you’ve paid, less the work completed so far.
Content plans
- Content plans are paid monthly in advance by card.
- You can cancel at any time by emailing [email protected] before your next billing date. Your plan then ends at the end of the month you’ve paid for.
- Articles we’ve delivered remain yours.
- If we change a plan’s price, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
What we need from you
You supply the content, images and logins your project needs (product pages use images you provide), and give feedback and approvals in good time. If we’re waiting for something from you, the timeline moves accordingly. You confirm that you have the right to use everything you send us, and that we may use it for your project.
Changes
Your project includes three rounds of changes, unless we’ve agreed otherwise. Further changes, and any work beyond your estimate or quote, are priced and agreed with you before we start them.
Ownership
Ownership of your website and the work we create for it passes to you once the last payment has been made, on a day we agree with you. Themes, plugins, fonts, images and software made by others remain under their makers’ licences, which we arrange in your name or pass on to you.
Showing our work
We’ll only show your website in our portfolio or case studies if we’ve agreed it with you.
Hosting, domains and other costs
Where your website is hosted is agreed with you for each project: with us, or with a provider you choose. Hosting, domains and licences bought on your behalf are non-refundable once purchased, and renew under their providers’ terms.
Your customers’ data
When we host or look after your website, we may handle personal data on your behalf, such as your customers’ details. You remain responsible for it, and we act as your processor. We:
- use it only to provide our services, on your instructions, for as long as we provide them;
- keep it confidential and secure, and limit access to people who need it;
- use other providers (such as hosting and email services) only under terms that protect it in the same way, and tell you if we change them, so that you can object;
- help you respond to requests from the people it belongs to, and with your own obligations to keep it secure;
- tell you without undue delay if it’s lost, misused or accessed without permission;
- delete it or return it to you when our work ends, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- give you the information you need to check that we keep to these terms.
What we promise, and what we don’t
We carry out our work with reasonable care and skill. Search rankings, traffic and sales depend on many things outside our control, so we don’t guarantee them, and we don’t guarantee that a website or service will always be available.
Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
- If you’re booking for yourself, you have legal rights if our work isn’t carried out with reasonable care and skill, and these terms don’t affect them. We aren’t responsible for losses we couldn’t have foreseen, or for business losses.
- If you’re booking for a business, we aren’t liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for a project or content plan is limited to the fees you’ve paid us for it.
Complaints and the law
If something isn’t right, please tell us at [email protected] and we’ll work with you to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you’re booking for yourself and live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in place when our agreement began applies to it.
